Also: The famous 925 stamp on the sterling silver jewelry is of no use at all. These stamps are put on the jewelry by the producer itself. There are no governmental or independent entities supervising or controlling the use of this stamp. In most countries, there are not even regulations concerning the contents of toxic metals in jewelry.
